Freedom to all imprisoned fighters

The campaign of modern savagery crushes every aspect of social life, intensifying the shabbiness of the “under” of this world.

On the other camp, parts of society who do not subjugate, do not consent in the plans of authority, choose to counter attack, through the speech and actions, involved in the multiform social struggles.

The guaranteeing of the privileged of this world, demands the elimination of anyone who disturbs the smoothness of our exploit. In the foresight the militant social struggles and the fighters.

Right now in the cells of the regime there are about 40 fighters while dozens more are persecuted, because of their clear position of battle which they chose against the rulers.

The target of authority is to demean and de-politicize the whatever subversive choices, seeking to identify socially the factual revolutionary/social counter-violence with actions of the common penal code, in their attempt to isolate and anticipate the dissemination of these choices into fighting social part. And despite that institutionally they are not recognized as political prisoners, the vengeance and special treatment (terrorlaw, special confinement conditions, special courts) saved for them, proves the exact opposite.

Within these frames is included the trial for the case of the Revolutionary Struggle which began on the 5^th of October. The fighters P.Roupa, K.Gournas and N.Maziotis have taken the political responsibility for the action of the organization and V.Stathopoulos, Ch.Kortesis, S.Nikitopoulos, M.Beraha and K.Katsenos are accused because of the penalization of their comradely or family relations and their anarchist action.

The memory of anarchist Lambros Foundas, murdered member of the Revolutionary Struggle in an armed conflict with the cops, will accompany us in the struggles.

Athens- STATEMENT OF THE THREE MEMBERS OF REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE TO THE COURT ON 12/12/2011

We took the political responsibility for participation in the organization Revolutionary Struggle. Consciously we did not choose to position ourselves concerning the “story” that was presented to us here by the witness Papathanasakis -which of course, was transferred to him-, the facts he described and what the ΔΑΕΕΒ (special violent crime squad) judged as enough proof to proceed to arrests. We consciously chose to not go into the process of speaking of phone conversations, mobile phones, the appointments presented by the ΔΑΕΕΒ, to distance ourselves from the investigation carried out by the advocates -and only by them since until this moment at least the judges have not preformed any significant examination of this specific witness-, on whether they were serious, real, worthy, capable enough to go ahead to arrests and imprisonments.

We consciously chose to not go into the process to insult the anyway generalized, unsound and unclear “condemnation” of the specific witness. Besides, as he himself has repeatedly said, every one of these facts he presents on it own means nothing.

And of course, he does not have anything to tell us concerning the matter which is the substantial proof of “guilt” of each one of the accused and the main thing, he has confessed that there is no evidence neither for the actions neither for the charge of “managing” neither for the organization itself or its function.

We believe that this testimony did not change anything of what existed until today. All charges continue to be up in the air and none of them has been connected with real incidents which they prove as they should.

But the fact that we took the political responsibility for participation in Revolutionary Struggle does not mean that any placement of Papathanasakis concerning one of the three of us should be taken as a fact. The same goes for the advocates. Which means that it cannot be that while there is a clear attempt of disputing his testimony concerning one of the accused, and at the same time taking for granted his testimony concerning one of us who have taken the political responsibility. We do not accept the legalization in any way of any information of the anti-terrorist force i.e. the presence of one of us at a rendezvous, irrelevantly if we have mentioned that. Our silence does not mean and must not be interpreted as an acceptance of whatever incidents and narrations.

The fact that we have taken the political responsibility does not mean that we accept the work of the anti-terrorist force, the evidence and incidents they present and the charges they accuse us of.

Claim of political responsibility does not mean in any way acceptance of the charges or incidents, evidence and information of the persecutory mechanisms. Despite the fact that we considered this obvious to everyone, we are obliged from the development of the procedure to intervene to make these points and ask that our position is respected.

International Call for Solidarity with the Revolutionary Struggle The 5th of October 11 has been set as the day that the trial of the Revolutionary Organization Revolutionary Struggle will begin.

The 5^th of October has been set as the day that the trial of the Revolutionary Organization Revolutionary Struggle will begin. The trial will take place in the court room of Koridallos prisons.
Eight accused will stand trial, who according to a recent order of the Council of Appeals will be tried for participation in the organization.
Accused in the case of the Revolutionary Struggle are: N. Maziotis, P. Roupa, K. Gournas, Ch. Kortesis,V. Stathopoulos,S. Nikitopoulos, K. K., (not arrested his on run) and M. Beraha (K.Gournas wife).

The first three accused, Maziotis, Roupa and Gournas have taken responsibility for the organization and remain imprisoned, but in mid October the 18month detention period expires. The rest of the accused are free.
Kortesis, Stathopoulos and Nikitopoulos were released from prison on terms recently, after two decisions of the council of Judges of appeals, since the Supreme Court applied a recantation on the first and another was made that ratified the decisions of the appeals judges.

The charges of each individual concern the felonies of constitution and participation in a terrorist organisation, supply manufacture and possession of explosive materials, explosions and numerous attempted homicides.

We believe that the death of Lambros Foundas by the uniformed murderers as well as the arrests of the six fighters for their participation or for their alleged participation in the Revolutionary Struggle, integral facts of their historical-social frame. We consider them as the first and heavy losses in the new phase of growth of class war that has been signaled by the capitalistic crisis. We feel that Lambros did not simply leave one day of March, but fighting on the eve of a general strike, while the six arrested as well as all the imprisoned fighters, are missing from us in the streets in these important as well as difficult days that have come, these days where the subversive-liberating argument must and can be applied with new intensity and momentum.
The three comrades who took responsibility for the actions of Revolutionary Struggle show that fighting for what you believe in is not a task that only the “elite” can take on. Its in everyone that has suffered in the system that has been created to control us. The state knows they are the real terrorists and as long as no one is fighting back they have nothing to fear. Its time to show them enough is enough and attack it with all means available.

“And if the terrorists Papandreou and Chrysohoidis are laughing (in vain) about our arrests; if they believe they have thus guaranteed the necessary security for their social-fascist party to easily continue imposing their criminal projects on society, wagging their tails to please their American masters; if they are hoping they have eliminated a serious threat to their regime, we assure them that it will not be so easy to do away with us.
While we live and breathe, we will do everything possible to cause trouble for their antisocial, criminal projects.
And if our persecutors and this country’s political establishment believe they have all of society on their side, if they believe most people see us as a “social threat,” they are wrong.”

On October 5, 2011 the revolutionary struggle on trial.

‘’That is why our response to the crisis is the social revolution, which we consider as the only realistic proposal for ending the systemic crisis. A social revolution, people will expropriate the property of the wealthy, multinationals and major Greek companies; which will expropriate the whole Church and State property. A social revolution that will finally abolish the State and any hierarchical and bureaucratic organization and will create social structures that would prevent the recurrence of any form of organized economic and political power. Which will socialize everything: production means, land, trade, health system, education, transport, transportation.

A social revolution which will have in its core the social organization, community or commune; which will put all social and economic activity under the management of a network of popular assemblies and councils; where everyone in work, town, village, neighborhood through these collective management decision making bodies will get the life in his hands. That will definitely leave behind the industrial society and today’s lifestyle which is characterized by greed and domination of man over nature.

A social revolution that would eliminate any ethnic, racial and religious discrimination, that will bring together the people while respecting their diversity, that would permanently abolish social classes and divisions’’.

On April 10, 2010, the Anti-terrorist Department of the Greek Police arrested six people in Athens :
Nikos Maziotis, Panagiota “Pola” Roupa, Kostas Gournas, Vaggelis Stathopoulos, Sarandos Nikitopoulos, and Christoforos Kortesis. All were known for their long presence in the anarchist/anti-authoritarian movement. Two weeks later, Nikos Maziotis, Pola Roupa, and Kostas Gournas admitted to participating in the organization known as Revolutionary Struggle (Epanastatikos Agonas). Stathopoulos, Nikitopoulos, and Kortesis denied the charges and stated that they were being persecuted for their years of anarchist activity and their comradely political relationships with the others.

A POLITICAL LETTER TO SOCIETY
We are taking responsibility for our participation in Revolutionary Struggle. We declare that comrade Lambros Foundas, who died in Dafni on March 10, 2010 after a battle with the police, also participated in Revolutionary Struggle. The battle was part of the subversive project decided on collectively by Revolutionary Struggle. It was a battle for revolution and freedom.

6/4 Three of the six temporary imprisoned, accused in the Revolutionary Struggle case, are to be released. According to the decision, Christoforos Kortesis and Vaggelis Stathopoulos must pay 3.000 euro, cannot exit the country and must appear at their local police stations twice a month.
Sarandos Nikitopoulos did not have to pay anything but only the other two conditions.

Discussion in the Assembly for Solidarity in view of the council meeting on the release of the comrades (detained for 12months)

This Monday 28/3/11 in the Assembly for Solidarity there will be a discussion on the case of Revolutionary Struggle, since on the 10^th of April it will be 1 year detention for those who were arrested for the case. On the 5^th of April there will be the council that will decide the extension or not of the imprisonement of the arrested.
